THE CHALLENGE
Traditional networking experiences are fragmented across multiple platforms. Users often rely on separate tools for professional networking, job searching, messaging, business card management, and community engagement.
Through market research, stakeholder discussions, and product discovery sessions, we identified several key challenges:
- Networking platforms focused primarily on professional connections but lacked meaningful relationship-building features.
- Physical business cards were frequently lost, outdated, or difficult to manage.
- Users struggled to maintain and organize new connections after networking events.
- Job opportunities, networking, and community engagement existed in separate ecosystems.
- Existing platforms created friction by requiring users to switch between multiple applications to accomplish related tasks.
The opportunity was to create a single destination where users could discover opportunities, build relationships, exchange information, and grow their professional and personal networks.
THE SOLUTION
We designed So-Q as an all-in-one networking ecosystem that brings together professional networking, social engagement, career growth, and relationship management into a unified mobile experience.
The platform empowers users to connect, communicate, and grow their network through intuitive workflows and modern mobile interactions.
Key features included:
- Digital business card creation and management
- Secure business card wallet
- Instant card exchange and connection building
- Professional networking tools
- Job discovery and application management
- User profiles and relationship management
- Messaging and communication features
- Community engagement and networking opportunities
- Mobile-first experience optimized for real-world networking events
We also introduced a unique incentive system where users earn points through networking activities, such as connecting, engaging, and participating in the community. Unlike platforms like Bumble where likes have no tangible value, So-Q allows users to cash out these earned points, reinforcing the idea that people are the true power behind networking. By rewarding users for building meaningful connections, the platform creates a more engaging and mutually beneficial ecosystem.
The result was a streamlined experience that eliminated the need for multiple networking tools while helping users build stronger and more meaningful connections.
